DESCRIPTION:Wonders of the Desert: Nature Play & Storytime- Gourds and Pumpkins \nJoin us for an enriching sensory adventure in Wonders of the Desert\, where young children (ages 2–5) explore the natural world through play-based\, developmentally appropriate outdoor activities. Guided by a trained nature-based educator\, each session offers three to four fun hands-on experiences—like digging\, building\, crafting\, and observing—designed to spark curiosity and build early learning skills. We’ll wrap up with a themed Storytime that ties everything together\, helping little ones connect\, imagine\, and grow in nature. All participants will be given a Family Activity page in English & Spanish to extend the learning and fun at home. \nChildren and caregivers learn about the different shapes\, colors\, and textures of gourds and pumpkins\, how they grow\, and their role in nature and culture. This experience supports sensory development\, early math skills\, and a deeper connection to plants and the seasons.
