Parents/caregivers and children (ages 3-5 years) will learn how birds create or find shelter in winter months. Birds also look for ways to find food when the growing season slows down.
Under the guidance of a trained nature-based teacher, families will explore how birds survive desert winters by participating in three or four outdoor developmentally appropriate fun activities. Related story time is also included. All participants will be given a Family Activity Page in English and Spanish that will help them extend the learning and fun at home.
