Nature Play: Signs of Winter

Parents/caregivers and children (ages 3-5 years) will learn about the signs of winter found in the Sonoran Desert. Seasonal changes are different in low deserts compared to most parts of the United States. Under the guidance of a trained nature-based teacher, families will explore the wonders of desert winters by participating in three or four outdoor developmentally appropriate fun activities. Related story time is also included. All participants will be given a Family Activity Page in English and Spanish that will help them extend the learning and fun at home.
