Nature Play: Sun and Shadows

Parents/caregivers and children (ages 3-5 years) will learn how to make the most of one of Arizona’s major strengths-the sun. Under the guidance of a trained nature-based teacher, families will explore how to come out to the ‘play desert’ and learn ways to make lasting impressions with shadows by participating in three or four outdoor developmentally appropriate fun activities. Related story time is also included. All participants will be given a Family Activity Page in English and Spanish that will help them extend the learning and fun at home.
