Wonders of the Desert invites children ages 2–5 and their caregivers to explore nature through playful, hands-on outdoor activities led by a trained educator. Each session includes engaging experiences like digging, building, and crafting, plus a themed Storytime. Families also receive a bilingual activity page to continue learning at home.
In this activity, families explore desert sticks through building, sorting, and creating nature art. Children use their senses, practice fine motor skills, and learn how sticks are part of the desert environment.

Nature Play & Story Time: Rocks in the Desert
Wonders of the Desert invites children ages 2–5 and their caregivers to explore nature through playful, hands-on outdoor activities led by a trained educator. Each session includes engaging experiences like digging, building, and crafting, plus a themed Storytime. Families also receive a bilingual activity page to continue learning at home.
During Rocks in the Desert, children will explore the shapes, colors, and textures of desert rocks, learn how they’re used by plants and animals, and build curiosity through hands-on play and observation.
