Wonders of the Desert: Nature Play & Storytime: INSECTS
Wonders of the Desert invites children ages 2–5 their caregivers to explore nature through playful, hands-on outdoor activities led by a trained educator. Each session includes engaging experiences like digging, building, and crafting, plus a themed Storytime. Families also receive a bilingual activity page to continue learning at home.
Insects: Children and caregivers learn about the important roles insects play in the Sonoran Desert, such as pollinating plants, breaking down organic matter, and providing food for other animals. They also discover how people have valued and used insects throughout history. This experience builds curiosity, respect for small creatures, and a deeper understanding of the desert’s delicate balance.
